My BP is 5.5 months old and around 23 inches long. I have her in a 20 gallon tank. I saw a really nice 40 gallon long tank for sale, I was wondering if this would be to big for her or stress her out ....any advice would be Great.

Tank size/ snake size?
I always think the bigger the better, so long as you have enough appropriate hides in the tank for him/her. I move up in tank size whenever I can afford it.
0.1 Ball -Ruby-
0.1 Viper Boa -Vash-
....and lots and lots of feeder mousies.....

Might as well take the deal on the cage now if you can. I wouldn't move up in cage size until your bp breaks 3 feet though. But that will be in just a couple of months anyway, so you can spend that time getting cool stuff for the new enclosure!

Will a 40 gallon long be large enough for when she's all grown up??

Yes, unless she reaches an unusually large size.
3.1.1 BP (Snyder, Hanover, Bo Peep, Sir NAITF, Eve), 1.2.3 Rhacodactylus ciliatus (Sandiego, Carmen, Scooby, Camo, BABIES ), 1.0 Chow (Buddha), 0.2 cats (Jezebel, PCBH "Nanners"), 0.3 humans
