Another gene I just don't know about. Champagne?

We have the opportunity to purchase this pretty girl. We think that she is pretty . So...I want your opinions. Rate her on a 1-10 scale, please, with 1 being butt ugly and 10 being SUPER AWESOME. I'm not very well-versed in the Champagne mutation...so that's why I'm asking for opinions. I only want quality in my collection.

This picture is from the breeder and he gets full credit.

Well I for one love that orange. Gotta be more than a 5 for me. I'd love to see a fire gene mixed in with her.

There is no good way to answer your question other than reverting it back to you. I say this because there is an enormous amount of variety in ball pythons, and especially the Champagne morph. Do a bit of hunting around, find one you like and if you are breeding select one that you think will pair well. Asking us though, that's not going to be any help for you.

there really is A LOT of variation in the color when it comes to champagne.

so i would say its a matter of personal taste, like low-white pieds versus high-white pieds. you can have a lot of color difference in siblings within the same clutch. and even if you search for something very specific, the offspring will still vary a lot.

i actually like this one, because the pattern is quite organized, i like the stripe. and, unless its something like a fire champagne or pastel champagne or mimosa, im not even sure that its supposed to be lighter colored.

Too dark for my taste, but I like the striping on her back. Personally I held out for a female from Mike Wilbanks' pumpkin line. A lot more expensive, but ours is a knockout.

Dave Green has some nice looking Champagnes.

I have a standard Champagne from Mike and one from Dave... both paired with the same Enchi Fire this season.

    Wilbanks (brown line)...

Dave Green.....she is 100% Het Ghost....
