I seriously doubt that snake is over 8ft. It looks very average for the size of a Colombian BCI. Most adult females are about this size.

Seized giant Boa Constrictor in Mocoa
The National Police managed in the last hours by the police to protect the environment, the seizure of a huge boa constrictor in the city of Mocoa.

I would have to agree, I know my hand to hand arm span is about 5 foot, maybe a tad bigger. Looks like that snake is shorter than 2 arm spans for anyone holding it, so I would put it under 10 foot.
