    Ball python hasn't pooped?

Hi, I have a male Lesser (and a female pinstripe), and he hasn't pooped in over a month. I'm extremely concerned about him because I want him to be ok. Near his vent is red and bloated? I tried a soak for a half hour in some warm water(but not too warm), and that was yesterday afternoon. His temp in the tank hot spot is perfect, but it is hard to keep the tank humid for it is a 40 gallon breeder.he is about 115 grams, and just ate a mouse on Saturday. Help please!

As a general rule, they poop when they need to. Young BPs use most of what they eat to make more snake. Not much is left over for waste.

Can you post a picture of the bloated red area?

    Is he passing urates?

My corn's vent gets like that when she's about to poop.

However, my ball python poops just as Slim said; when he needs to. I have had him for about half a year and have only found poop 3 or 4 times. He is around 300 grams, so still quite young.
If you can post a photo that will help tremendously.

Otherwise, ball pythons don't always poop routinely, or often in some cases. I have heard of them pooping only after sheds or even once per season.

Palpate the area gently pinch the top and belly for 20 minutes keep going down them back up to mid section then down and repeat .. He will poop from this it never fails unless they are really blocked up and need medical attention

I was worried about my male not pooping for about a month. 2 days after I posted he left me a HUGE present. Stunk up my whole room.
