6 month old Pied & complete setup
So......I may be forced to sell my Piebald. Seems my condo association found out I have a very dangerous man eating creature that i have been harboring. I am going to fight, but if i lose, I'm gauging interest as to if anyone wants my girl & 40 gal breeder set up. I'd look for 900 bucks if i can get that. I'll post pics up after she sheds (she is all blue'd over and dull at the moment).

I think it is against forum rules to advertise here. You can ask what people would pay, I think, but I don't think you are allowed to advertise an animal you are looking to sell.

Re: 6 month old Pied & complete setup
Well for me the price of a pied depends on five things; sex, age, weight, what it eats, and level of white. Higher white tends to catch a higher price. You said you have a six month old, but what is her weight? What is she eating? I never buy a snake on ASF's or that is a mouser because I don't like having to switch them over. I also don't buy snakes that seem on the low end of the weight scale for their age because it indicates they aren't the best eaters/growers.
Also, the "complete setup" would mean absolutely nothing to me and not factor in the cost at all. Like many people here I already have racks for snakes and am not all that interested in individual enclosures. I would want the animal by itself.

you would probably have better luck selling something like the enclosure/setup by itself on craigslist.

Re: 6 month old Pied & complete setup
In for pics of this man eating beast lol also more info on the setup could help you sell it. Such as heat source, thermostat, any hides or lights included?

So what exactly is the association's rules in keeping reptiles in your condo? I'm sure you probably did this, but you should read the contract to see if there's any loopholes. Also, how did they end up finding out you have a snake anyways?

Yea sorry all. I skimped on the details. so lets see here:
Age / sex: 6 moth old Female Pied
Last weight: 308 grams after Poopies (lol) weighed on 12/26
Purchased through IBall Pythons for $750 at 3 months old.
Eats: Live Rats (What I call 35% rats because they are about 35% the size of a full grown and older than a pup) every tuesday.
Heat: (1) Day heat lamp & (1) Night Heat lamp
Enclosure: 40 gallon creature cage with (3) pieces of drift wood, 2 "half log" hide boxes, and cedar sub straight.
Detailed photos will come soon of both her & the enclosure. When shedding is complete i will weigh her again as well.
As far as the association is concerned. the original by-laws state "dogs, cats, and other household pets are permitted provided they not be in excess of two in aggregate per unit...." They have since informally changed these by-laws without having me sign anything or making me aware to state "only (1) one dog, cat, or bird is permitted per unit. Exotic or dangerous pets of any kind (Pitts, boas, ferrets, etc) are prohibited.
now as far as I'm concerned when i bought this place i signed a contract to the original by-laws. But we will see how this shakes out. If they win this i will be fined 10 bucks a day until i get her out so ill need to have someone ready to take her if someone wants her =/
Ah lastly. I am located in Northern NJ. If i lose this fight with the assoc. i'll only do meet up / pick up of her. not comfortable shipping.

Only Pick up may make it hard on you to sale. If you cant find someone close to you that wants her you may be paying alot of $10 bills till you do. Good Luck
