    BP possibly sick

I have a young female bp that I'm currently keeping in a 10 gallon glass tank, just until she's big enough to be moved to the snake rack (I'm worried she'd squeeze and wriggle her way out). I found her recently with her hot side at only 85 F and her paper towels soiled. Before cleaning it up I handled her and noticed she was opening her mouth a lot? Not like a yawn, but just opening it a little and I occasionally heard a clicking like noise. Given the cool temp and my worry that she might have been on the soiled paper towels for 24 hours, should I be worried?

I've never had a snake do that with their mouth. I tried to peek inside when she did yawn once and didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but I wouldn't necessarily. Any advice or thoughts is appreciated.

Not much to do except the obvious. Get the temps up, keep the tank clean, maintain humidity levels.

If it's still a problem in a few days/a week I'd get a vet to check her out. Might be a respiratory infection.

Is the clicking from her breathing? check her mouth if you can for bubbles.
