    New Exasperatum Babies

Picked up two spanking new Rio Fuertes from Steve Angeli last night. Got the first picks out of 11 new babies born right after Christmas. The hatchling rack was about a foot from his puff adder and russell's viper enclosures. It was a little unnerving trying to make my selections while those puffs were hissing and puffing at me.

The kids picked out two Nahuatl (Aztec) names last night. Allow me to introduce:

Ahuitzotl - which fittingly means "water monster, definitely the more laid back of the two:

And Oxomoco, who has stopped with the hissy fits and has become slightly calmer:

If anyone is interested in beadeds or gilas, I cannot recommend Steve enough. I've done business with him several times and have never been disappointed. He loves to talk beadeds and is positive and fun guy to talk herps with in general.

Back in the States, one of Steve's animals came to me once after changing a few hands. He answered all the questions I had even if I didn't buy the animal directly from him. Top guy for sure.

Great looking babies by the way!

Awesome babies. Congrats. I've never done business with Steve but I always see stuff he has posted for sale and it always looks top notch.
And don't let the puff bother you, they never stop talking. You get used to it lol.

Every time I see pictures I want them..then the wife reminds me I agreed years ago to keep nothing venomous. So instead of buying them I spend a few days looking at pictures and reading about care. I think one of these days I need to forget and accidentally buy them...once they are home there is no sense in getting rid of them Absolutely Beautiful babies. The have so much character in their faces and look so interested in the world.

Sweet I bought a Rio Fuerte from Steve in 2011 and he's been great. I plan on getting a high black Heloderma h.horridum from him in the future.
