    First feeding

I am feeding my new ball python, Mr. Mittens, this Friday. He was fed live at the shop. For the first feeding should I do live? Or should I try to start with froze ? With either option what should I do with the mouse if he doesn't eat it?

    Thanks!

    Re: First feeding

I personally would try live then if he eats it try f/t the next feeding.
Some try f/t right away with success. If a f/t is refused, I threw it away (back when I tried them) but some refreeze it to try with the next feeding. I personally wouldn't... it starts to decompose as soon as it's thawed, so imagine doing it twice... yuck
Live you would either need a critter keeper and provide some food/ water for the 5-7 you have it.
If he's settled in and was on live before I doubt you'll have a refusal
