    My new girl, Priscilla.

I figure it's time to introduce Priscilla. You guys have been helpful in getting me started. I got her ~3 weeks ago as my first snake and first introduction into anything that wasn't furry.

Did a fair bit of research beforehand, but keep learning every day. One of the things I quickly figured out was that she was underfed before I got her. She was on a small mouse weekly. On her last feeding, she was able to get down a small rat. It was a little big for her, but I haven't found a local store yet that sells smaller rats, only large mice. I turned up her UTH heat for a few days to help her though, and she seemed OK with it.

Today, she went in to her blue stage, so I can't wait for her to shed and turn into a butterfly. That's how it works, right?

Also, I got a 10 gallon tank for now, but got the notification that my Animal Plastics T8 shipped yesterday. Been pretty successful in keeping the tank at all the right numbers thanks to the tips I've found here.

Since I want an awesome display cage, I'm going to try my hand with some live plants. I know most don't recommend it due to the snakes tearing them up, I'm thinking about some larger, fairly hardy Tillandsias that should hold up. Like the ones in this picture that are about the size of a kids soccer ball, and should be fun for a snake to explore and use to help sheds, I think.
