Snakes for 6sq ft floor space or less

I'm looking to get a new snake preferably a constrictor, madagascar giant hoggies are pretty much the only exception to this, I like pythons better than boas but both work, I have a 36"Lx24"Wx24"H animal plastics viv. The care requirements aren't really an issue and if they aren't secure enough in a viv this big i can just clutter it more or if the snake is small enough divide it and get two. I have no opinion as far as terrestrial or arboreal goes, but I don't like carpets, diamonds, or carpondros with more than 25% carpet blood. Price isn't really an issue. Just name sone for me please! Thanks!

P.S. NO ball python suggestions. I've already decided that I'll choose my favorites from this list and get the one I like best, individual specimen, that will be comfortable with this amount of room. Ie. if I find a bunch of ugly GTPs and one beautiful bp-ill get the bp and vice-versa. The ball python is the backup plan.

You might be better off taking suggestions for non BP's in the "Other Pythons" or "Boas" areas rather than the BP General area.

If you press the Home button it shows the Recent Threads so people will see and answer the thread just fine. The issue is after the thread falls way down the list it can be more difficult to locate being in the wrong section.

As I sit here trying to help you it comes to mind that I have no clue who you are and what your collection consist of. Take a moment to either place your collection in your signature or in the thread. I did find some collection information in your profile but it was kinda confusing and people should not have to search your profile trying to help you out. What confused me was the rtb listing. You still have some or those were past pets?

Re: Snakes for 6sq ft floor space or less

I would suggest a male Brazilian Rainbow Boa as a female may outgrow that enclosure, or one of the pure locality boas that stay on the small side, such as a Sonoran or Tarahumara.

I realize you said "constrictor" but if you're looking for a display snake also consider a king, my high white CA king is out and about quite a bit and uses both the horizontal and vertical space in his enclosure.

Sorry. The RTBs are past and so are the two normal bps. I currently only have one butter bp. Housing's not really an issue with me as long as I can use the viv I currently have because, at my school, I take care of the class snakes(hoggies, garters, rough green snakes, and an ETB, so I know how to care for vastly different snakes and I learn quickly. My highschool focuses on science. :3 I didn't give up the previous snakes, one escaped in the car and got mouthrot and we couldn't get her out until it was too late and the others died of old age. I'm used to aggressive, and large snakes, and I'm fine with both snakes you can handle and snakes that are more display.

You can't. It will be fine.

What is your plan for college? That may be a big factor in your choice.

I'm looking to become a herpetologist/paleontologist and if I can't find any that will allow me to have my snakes in the dorms I'll look for one in my state(a regular one that teaches the classes) and after the time when I must be in the dorm (do all colleges require this?) I'll get an apartment. My mom and step-dad have no problems with taking care of my snakes for a year, they love snakes!

All dorms have a no pet policy. And if they allow something, its fish in a 10gallon tank max.

If you can, try getting your own apartment from the get go.
Some schools will allow freshman to be off campus.

When I was in college they only allowed aquariums, so I kept a few tarantulas in aquariums...

Woma's are a nice smaller sized python that should do well in a 6 Square foot area.
