Bad Shed? Help!

We got our 5 month old ball python William about 2 months ago. He shed perfectly after his first week with us. I noticed that he started showing signs of going into the shedding progress about a week ago (pink belly, clouded eyes) so I made sure the humidity level in his tank stayed btwn 60 and 70%. Today I noticed that the shed from just his head and eye caps came off and a couple of bits and pieces.
Should I just leave him? For how long? When should I soak him?
Please help. This is our first snake and we are new to this.

You can also let him slither through a warm, wet towel. Wet it with water that feels just slightly warm to the touch, then put him on it, fold it over, and let him cruise through it. Not only will it help hydrate the old shed, but it's JUST abrasive enough to help taking it off gently.

If his eyecaps and head are done then just have patience, keep his humidity up, and give him a day or so to finish the job on his own before trying to bathe him.

Also a valid point. Just make sure there's not a ring of shed that could compromise circulation. It's a little unlikely that it would do any damage, especially if he's really young, but it never hurts to be too careful.

Thanks for your help. I soaked him for an hour and it didn't do much. BUT that night he managed to get everything off himself. He seems much happier now!
