    What do y'all prefer uth or flexwatt heat tape

    After much research I'm about to go with flexwatt heating.. seems like it's just different opinions for everybody.. What type of enclosure are you using it on?

    I'm building a wood cage and I was going to put the heating supplies inside the tank up under a tile I was just seeing what people prefered

    For your purposes a good sized UTH would probably get the job done fine. That is unless you need an odd shaped heat source to accommodate your custom cage size. Then you should use flexwatt or THG Heat tape. Either way be sure to use a quality thermostat to regulate it, and have some open space between your heat source and the tile on top. A small degree of ventilation is very necessary for safety purposes. Good luck.

    Thank and I have a digital thermostat and I was going to drill some hole under the Uth for ventilation is this good or what do you think f
    would be safe

    im not a fan of heating elements inside the enclosure.

    I'm not sure how well holes under the heat source would help the accumulated heat above it. You might need someone else's opinion on that.
