Your two have cool marking patterns, btw!
I'm actually allergic to cat hair, so when my furry cat had to be put down (kidneys failing), I decided to get these girls!
Did you pet one? They do have a bit of hair. I'm told they feel like a horses muzzle. The kitten has quite a bit of fur on her tail.

Bobbafett- No, I didn't get to pet any of them. All the ones we saw were in the rings being shown... Didn't see any that were "benched" to talk to the breeders / owners. I got to hold an oriental and pet a tonkinese, so I considered myself lucky.. Most of the folks didn't want you petting their cats, which I can understand. I'd say that a good 40% of the cats at the show were persians, so I guess what they say about them being the most popular show cat is true.

I love the sphinx breed. I think they are adorable and I love thier unbounding energy. Are yours ok being bathed? It is the weekly bathing that keeps me from putting the hard sell on the breed with my husband who has the more traditional view that only fluffy = cute.

One of hers is good, the other is a little demon when it comes to bathes.

Re: Sphinx update
Lol. Doolittle is right. Mercedes (Grey) hates baths. And it's at the point where I just wipe her down with baby wipes because I've been bitten and scratched enough. I didn't get her as a kitten though.
My kitten is fine in the tub though.

Are the baby wipes adequate? That would be a great solution! My fear is that knowing how strong and rambunctious Sphinx cats are that they would be much more adversarial in the bath than a typical domestic beast. I've always had long haired breeds who need bathing periodically so I can handle a typical amount of bathtime fight occasionally. But even with them I wouldn't want to go through it on a weekly basis.

Re: Sphinx update
No haha. She doesn't enjoy the wipes either. If you get a kitten, they'll get used to it.
