Stuck shed appears to be peeling. Advice :)
Hey guys, I have posted about my bee before but there has been some progress in my little guys stuck shed today.
I got him out today and he had a flap of shed hanging off his nose so I popped him in a bath and tried to remove it but it was securely stuck to his nose and I didn't want to risk removing a scale. There is also shed hanging up from the back of his head but it is facing the wrong way to assist it off and I cannot get any loose near his nose to try to remove the shed.
He's very calm, seems quite happy, eats, doesn't hiss or go into a defensive strike mode during any of this intrusion of me on his face. I was planning on leaving it well be but as it is slowly coming off I wanted to see if I could help it along.
I am right to be under the presumption that peeling /rubbing it backwards towards his nose would be more of a detriment and holds more risk than benefit?
Any advice would be great

Have you tried the damp pillow case to see if that helps?
If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

Yeah tried that too, would a powerade bath help to hydrate and loosen to help me assist do you think?

Soaking reptiles in sports drinks is controversial at best. The sugars in the drink can remain on scales and invite infections and irritation. I have heard of this for severely dehydrated snakes but not to remove stuck shed...
Socka in warm water bath, add a few paper towels and let the snake move between them. A damp pillow case also works extremely well.

I have also placed a tea towel in the pillow case to have extra area for rubbing on. I have not had issues in the recent past to require the pillow case lol. ( I been using it more to caught wild snakes in )
