    Stacking t8s question

Little info, I just got another t8 and was going to stack it on mine that I already have. I heat them using radiant heat panels, so I just realized the top of the bottom cage gets from 95-99 degrees directly above the heat panel. My question is will this affect/ make the bottom of my second cage too hot, or are they thick enough that it won't matter? Is there anything I can do to counter this or should I just not stack them?

I got some of those soft furniture coasters/sliders for the bottoms of my cages so there's airflow in between each cage and airflow between the bottom cage and the floor. I use belly heat via flexwatt though and not RHPs.

Edit: they should have included some little stacking pins too with the cage.

    Stacking t8s question

You will most likely get some kind of heat transfer from the cages. You can get a piece of foam from Home Depot and put that in between the cages.

You might see some, but it will have to get through 1 inch of CD-PVC first. I doubt it will be an issue.

They did include pins but they are used to make them not slide. The tanks lay flush on each other.

That's true: I didn't do anything with them myself (the pins) but I really like the little coasters I got. $3 at Walmart for large fuzzy bottomed ones with adhesives on the back.

I might have to give that a try, are they still pretty sturdy and stable without the Pins only using the coasters?

Yep, they still seem very sturdy to me. I'd imagine I'd really have to barrel myself into them to make them move lol But like Merchant said just stacking them on top of each other should be fine too. You could always call up AP and double check.
