    shedding

I had two snakes go into shed at the same time one shed good and one shed bad. They are in a rack so the conditions are the same. My humidity stays at 55-60%. Temp is 83 ambient air temp and 90 for the hot spot. I also had another snake shed a week ago with a perfect shed.

This is so true!! Even if you give them the humidity they need sometimes they just shed like the skins been put through a wood chipper lol. I've just had this odd experience too with a hatchling. Gave him tons of humidity and shed is gazillion pieces. But one thing that I forgot to do that I usually do is when they get out of the blue stage and clear up I mist the snake directly with water since they will be shedding that day usually and it really helps the skin just slide off perfectly and in one big long piece

Try bumping up the humidity to 75 or 80 through out the shedding process. It might help.

My humidity stays up during his sheds, but while he shed everything,it's usually in 3 pieces...
