Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.

2k grams for a ball that isn't even 4 foot sounds like pretty good weight to me. My female that laid 7 huge eggs (almost 100 grams each) weighed 2500 grams, and she is 45 inches long. She dropped down to 1200 grams seconds after laying, and now (2 months later) she's back up past 2k. It's been a hectic year for her. But anyway, the weight on that girl/guy sounds good.

Thanks! I'm fairly confident in good breeding size, just not so sure about good breeding gender. I'll take any breeding advice you want to offer.

Congratulations!!! I just purchased an '03 female and am getting a 2nd '03 female on Monday. I'm hoping to breed them late spring or early summer of '05, if they're above 2Kg just being fed once a week by then, with a clutch or two later that year. If I have any success, I might try my hand at some pastels as well. Best of luck and keep us all updated!!! If all goes well, I hope to follow in your footsteps soon after (although in a much smaller scale).
