What is it like to care for one and is it something a noob could handle
There is no pleasure in having nothing to do; the fun is in having lots to do and not doing it.

In English, Daft is referring to the Goliath Tarantuala. We have a Chilean Rose, but I'm unfamiliar with the Goliath. Here are a few caresheets:

I'm guessing this one isn't for beginners.

i have a goliath, i would not recommend one for a novice. a rose hair or chaco golden knee (sometimes called chaco yellow stripe) are excellent starters. goliaths have some of the worst urticulating hairs. hairs on rear that they kind of disperse when aggravated. their fangs can get to an inch long when full grown. mine is about 7 inches in legspan and her fangs are about 5/8 inch long! i treat her with respect. when cage cleaning she throws hairs and they can irritate your skin and nasal passages. aside from that i never get tired of watching her grow and a tarantula that size is different. if you want one to hold look elsewhere, but if you want an impressive display invert get one!

    thanks vaughn
    you can't have just one!
