I want to thank everyone who gave me all the great advice about shedding. Woke up this morning to find a beautiful happy shiny BP who shed all in one peice. Eye caps came off great and the tip of his tail. Well he should be good and hungry by now since he's gone a few days past his feeding day............... Thanks again to everyone who shot some advice

Thanks Marla, you were one of the people with great advice. Even more great news, my BP finally took fresh kill, hopefully no more nasty live feeds.

    hi im new

Excellent! Hopefully you can switch over to the convenience and safety of f/t fairly easily, but p/k is still way safer than live as you know. Sounds like you're doing very well.

Alright GREAT JOB. Your well on your way. I fill a pot with hot water and put the rat in while in a ziploc bag. Keep changing the water every 10 minutes to make sure the water stays warm for a mouse it might take 30-40 minutes.

Edit: If you are concerned with thawing out a rodent you can always feed fresh killed till you get the hang of it.
    Thanks,
    Damien

if the snake doesn't take the thawed rodent, then the rodent is pretty much garbage can material right? i'm thinking that although it would be nice to be able to refreeze, it must be a bad idea what with bacteria and all...?
