A Note on Photo Contests!!

There's only a scant handful of days left to get your pictures in for October's contests! At this moment, we only have three qualified herp entries and NO Photo of the Month entries. Come on guys...the contests won't work without you!!

This month's POTM theme is an easy one! ANY holiday image between Halloween and Valentine's day. They don't have to be new pictures...pictures you've taken from past holidays are fine. Animals are fine, but not required. Photoshopping is fine but not required. Easy theme this month!! We should have a ton of entries!

And one more note about the contests this month. The voting period will be shortened. I have to leave town on the evening of the 4th and won't be around to do the usual contest winner switch-over....so the voting period will end on the morning of the 4th so I can do the switch-over before I leave.

And please please please review the rules for the contests!!!

I think the contests should be pinned somewhere more obvious. I love the contests and participate but it's easy to forget about them unless the posts are bumped up to the top when I happen to log in. The poll box on the left used to be structured differently or placed differently or am I crazy? Possible to swap the position of Poll and Online Users on the left? Mark it in some way to catch people's attention more?
