I know this might sound dumb... but could a BP go into False shed. What I mean is that my 4.5 month old BP showed all the sighns of starting a shed, eyes cloudy blue, skin dull, I noticed this on the 24th of july, eyes cleared up the next day and now it's the 27th and still nothing. I'm keeping the heat at the hot end around 90 and the cool end around 83, humidity is at 70. I'm just a little concerned because its 3 days past feeding day and I was told not to bother him or feed him when he starts a shed period.
Any Advice would be Great...Thanks

I don't think they go into a false shed. He will probably start to shed in the next day or so. Give him time, each individual is different. They generally start shedding in a week or so after their eyes clear up.

Right on Bambi. They dont shed immediately after their eyes clear up. They generally ( my experience ) shed anywhere from 3-7 days or even longer.

Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.

san diego reptile shows?
What Carson said. After the skin is dull, a thin layer of fluid builds up under the layer to be shed, and the skin no longer looks dull. It takes different ball pythons different amounts of time to build up this fluid to the level it needs to be (a reason why humidity is so important), and when they're done, they shed.

What about feeding him, he's got to be good and hungry or should I just wait it out ?

I would wait it out. Feeding in shed might cause some undue stress on your little guy, especially when he is vulnerable.

Thanks Carson, It would probably be for the best if I wait.
