    Snoop the Retic

bored at work, yet again. the giant forum here doesn't get enough love, so i figured i'd share some pics of my boy. he's growin up on me lol. i'll always love my ball pythons, but i'd be lying if i told you i didn't have a favorite. he's it. i definitely see more retics in my future. just need to get more room.

my little bro loves him too. lol

my partner in crime. i remember when she literally use to cry when i took out a BP hatchling. now she handles the retic like a boss. lol she's proof that anyone with an open mind can be converted.

I am in the same boat as you were. It took me over a month to convince my wife to let me get my first snake... and then this week I got this picture from her with the caption:

"This isn't working the way I expected".

Apparently, she was trying to wear him like a necklace, but he found her ponytail and climbed up onto her head. I call it the "Casper turban" (his name Casper... my Ghost morph). She is so in love with this snake, that I am not allowed to sell him. I don't have a need for a Ghost morph in my future projects... but I was told, "Well... he can just be 'my snake', and I'll take care of him. He really is my favorite..."

Not only that, but she is ALWAYS pulling out the baby Phantom (190g), or laying on the couch with the Lesser (675g) stretched out on her lap. She is converted, and an official Ball Python lover. I would really like to get a Retic at some point, but I need to wait until my boys get a little older. With a 7, 6, 5, & 4 year old at the house... I don't know how I would convince my ex-wife that they are 'safe' (my ex is crazy... hence the 'ex').

You make me want a retic.

I agree with archy, your partner in crime is rather attractive.

Most important: when's the beard coming back?

if you have the room, get one while you can. it's probably only a matter of time before they're added to the lacey act. they're amazing. totally different ball game from the BPs. so much more inquisitive with tons of personality for a snake. it's wild. lol and the beard is actually on its way. gotta stay warm for the winter. lol

I'm not comfortable with a retic's size, too much for me. I like the SD's but they can get kinda squirrelly :p
