Is my ball python getting enough to eat?

Hi everyone! I just got a new bp named Shelly and I love her death! My only concern is the place I purchased her from was feeding her rat pups every 2 weeks. She is 507 grams so is this the right size rat? Also is she being fed often enough?

Thanks in advance for advice everyone!

Prey size should be equal to or a lil larger than the widest part of the snake. I'd go once a week.

What happened to your spider and lesser?

    1 small rat every week.

I feed rat pups to my hatchlings!

Once a week is what I thought too

And I'm glad you asked about the lesser and spider, a couple friends of mine were interested in getting in to the snake hobby so I sold them to them, they should be joining this forum soon!

Cool. Yeh I'd definitely go once a week
I'd try the same size prey they were feeding for maybe the first 2 feedings with you then up the size as long as she's feeding ok
