Help with ambient temps

I have the heat pad where the reading goes anywhere from.. 88-95 degrees which should be fine for the hot spot.

Now, I have a problem keeping the ambient temps above 80.. It drops sometimes to.. 73-84 and as high as..84-85..

I live right on Lake Michigan and shes right by the window.. I mean.. my room is pretty hot compared to most rooms in the house.. but what could I do to keep the temperatures up? I thought about moving her into the closet away from the window.. I don't wanna get a higher watt bulb because I have a hard time with humidity sometimes so.. Any suggestions on keeping that temperature up?

She doesn't spend A LOT of time in her hot side hide so maybe shes not that cold? also, the heat lamp is on the hot side of the cage where the heating pad is also. with the Acurite digital thermometer on the complete opposite side cage. Should I position the heat lamp/thermometer in different spots?

Put the lamp towards the middle of the enclosure, I personally would move her from the window.
With the pad and bulb in the same spot it might be too hot for her so she'll stay to the cooler side.
Do you have a temp gun?

I would not say that is fine... sorry to disagee. Although fluctuation is normal, I have read over and over not to let the temp drop below 75F!

I too would move the bulb to the middle of the tank. You could also get a larger dome to hold the bulb, thus expanding the total area for which the bulb heats.

I really hope your window is North or South facing and that your tank does NOT get ANY DIRECT SUNLIGHT!
That turns tanks into ovens for snakes

I don't know if it's possible, but is there any way you could move around your room so the tank is not too near the window?

I solved my ambient temp problem by moving both my babies to a room of their own with a space heater. Now everybody's happy and their ambient temp is a solid 82 degrees. I did the whole lamp thing which killed the humidity so I finally caved and went this route. With only the undertank heater on the warm end and the room itself being heated, all the parameters are great.
