Can you post pics of them?

I feel I can pick them out pretty well most of the time but some can still be a little tricky. Main difference for me for BCC vs BCI is saddle shape and amount of saddles, head structure, and tail coloring (pending the morph of the BCI). Of course this depends on the locality of BCC and BCI.

Lots of practice. If you have some pictures some people on here could help, but typically if you have a BCC you would know from the price. BCC are generally more expensive, and typically sold advertising they are BCC or "true redtails". If a boa in a petstore is sold as a "red tail boa" chances are it's a BCI.

There are a few general differences, but these differences aren't set in stone. Some BCIs will have BCC traits, and vice versa. Really it mostly comes down to getting used to looking at them side by side, but even then without knowing the lineage you can't typically guarantee if it's a BCC.

So here are a few traits, in general.
-BCC will have fewer saddles, (this is a really bad way to tell the difference, lol)
-BCC saddles often have "peaks" so their saddles will look like this: } { and not like this: ) ( - imagine the dark saddle being between the brackets and parenthesis. The light in between the saddles on a BCI will normally be more circular.
-Color on a BCC will typically be much richer. The reds won't brown out as much as they age and they tend do get kind of golden in color.
-BCC will normally grow a little slower and end up a little larger, but that doesn't really help in identifying them.

So here is one of those exceptions. This is my friend's BCI, but she has the peaked saddles. But she is a BCI.

And here is my aberrant BCI as a baby without the peaked saddles (though she has some freaky saddles!):

You can also see that she doesn't have a really red tail.

To add to Shann's exception, here's another fun one with my low expression jungle morph Colombian male when he was a little dude: some BCI babies have super nice red/orange tails which can be misleading. Though my boy's tail still looks vastly different than the deep reds of a Suri or Guyana's tail, it still could be misleading to those who are unfamiliar with IDing BCC vs BCI.

Wow, gorgeous!! That's a perfect example of how pretty some of their tails can be. And that's one that would have thrown me off for quite a while on telling the two apart until I got more practice.

A bcc would also have most if not all saddles with peaks on them, not just 1 or 2.

Not necessarily, Iquitos and Pucallpas usually have dished saddles: I hardly see these guys with high peaks.
