    A cold?

Well I'm a little upset. I bought a baby water monitor at the show last week, and think he might have a respiratory infection.... I first heard him sneeze on the way home from the show in the car. He looked super healthy at the vendor and was not sneezing or showing any other sign of illness, so I though maybe it was a one time thing or I had just thought I heard it. But the after setting up his enclosure, I picked him up to put him in, I heard it again, and he was keeping eyes half way shut. I thought, maybe he just hissed? But hes increasingly sneezing more, and I am positive it is a sneeze. I made sure he had the right temps, and I've been monitoring his humidity levels carefully, and I've been leaving him alone as much as possible. My question, will the proper set up be enough to help him get better? Should I take him to the vet? I definitely will if I need to, no question. Someone just please tell me ANYTHING I can do to make sure he will be okay and doesn't get worse... I love this little guy

Proper setup might resolve - humans beat their colds all the time without the doctor. Sometimes a doctor can make a lot of stress and make things worse by further lowering the immune system. It's up to you - you're the one observing the animal. How bad do you think it is? Take it to the vet if you think it's at the point where it should go to a vet. We won't be able to be as good of a judge as you.

Monitors can hide having a RI pretty well by just looking at body condition. The sneezing, wheezing, and eventually coughing is definitely a sign of a RI or cold.

It would be a good idea to keep him QTed for a while and taking him to a good vet would be a good idea.

Like Satomi said, please provide your care specifications (cageing, temps, humidity, diet, instruments used to measure temps, bulbs, heat pads, substrate, water bowls)
