Snakes in Florida, owner in Maine. How to advertise and ship?
Hi everyone,
As some of you know, we moved from Florida to Maine with the Coast Guard. I was not able to bring any of my snakes because of military housing regulations, and they are being boarded at a friends house in Florida. Soon, I will have about 20 hatchlings for sale, but I am not sure how the listing process should go. Obviously I would like to be a part in selling my babies and become a well trusted name in the hobby. But how would a potential buyer react knowing that the actual shipping is in the hands of a second person who is located states away from the owner?
The person who will be shipping my hatchlings ships hundreds of animals per day at her job. So knowledge of shipping procedure, licensing, and the ability to make a ship date to a buyer is a non issue.
Would anyone avoid purchasing from me because of this situation? Who would you prefer to have direct contact with? The owner (myself) or the caregiver?
Thanks
Angela

I wouldn't have any issues as long as I had both of your contact information, and I was able to reach both of you when needed for questions/concerns. If I work with a breeder, and I trust that person, then I would trust their judgment. That's just my personal opinion.

If you gave this information up front, I wouldn't hesitate. I would prefer to be able to talk to both of you. Personally, I'd want to talk to the owner about buying and to the caregiver about shipping and probably to confirm health of the animal.

Would not bother me one bit if I knew you were military, as we are as well, so I know how frustrating those military housing restrictions are.
