Feeding questions?
so when i first got my BP, i tried frozen adult mice (he is about 4 months old or so) and he ate fine no problem, he just finished his shed about a week ago but i still can't get him to feed, its been a little over 4 weeks since his last feeding and today i got him to strike, he ripped open the mouses stomach, but after he did the he pretty much lost interest and won't eat it. should i leave it in there and see if he will eat it over night, or because it got opened should i take it out? also any suggestions on how i could maybe get him to eat, i tried warming the mouse up in a bag in boiling water, putting it under the heat lamp, and also using chicken broth to try and scent it and nothing.

well there are so many things you can try. but your gonna find out that they are very finicky eaters and only eat when they are comfortable. give it time make sure your temps are correct try to feed him in his enclosure. when he is in his hide. your BP is young so try smaller prey but live like a pinky.to stimulate feed

Definitely wouldn't recommend leaving a torn apart mouse under a heat lamp over night...
Also, my BP fasted for two months and wouldn't take live or FT. Now he eats like a champ. In fact, he took down his second rat ever today. Just give it time and maybe try feeding a live pinky or fuzzy.

Re: Feeding questions?
don't put mouse in boiling water, as hot as the tap can get is fine, don't want the mouse to cook, also can lead to mice ripping open...
don't worry, he'll eat when comfortable and hungry
