    good vibrations.

So i'm trying to waste as much time as possible at work today, and since GE blocks basically the entire internet except bp.net ( or so i thought ) i thought i would try to wander over to NERD's website to show some pics to some guys here at work. While perusing the NERD site i ran across this: http://www.newenglandreptile.com/if.html . Its absolutely hysterical, some of them hit WAY too close to home . For instance:
"You head to the hardware store for reptile supplies" - Lowes is my new favorite place
"Your Great Dane is afraid of going in the basement" - Close, but my dog doesnt go anywhere near my herps
"You skip meals to have extra money for the upcoming reptile show" - Guilty
"You consider anything with fur and a tail fair game for your boa" - BOA FOOD ( in response to anything from bunnies to annoying dogs/cats )

And the best one of all ( happened to me yesterday )
"Employees at the pet shop ask you to help a customer while they're busy"
    - Carson
Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.

My fave: "There's someone in your life who understands why you think baby snake faces are CUTE, and doesn't think you're weird for it."

Hence the AIM name, CuteSnakeFace. And I know all you guys understand!!

Aww, I read those a few weeks ago and wanted to post it, but for some reason I didn't. I could probably relate to 80% of them.

If you ever find yourself explaining to neighborhood parents that your scaley friends are actually less dangerous than their dog ...
If a stroll through the dollar/garden/kitchen store always results in your assessing things you see for whether they'd make good hides ...
If your kids accuse you of having a specific "gecko voice" or ask why you're talking to them like they're geckos ...
If you have to be the one to explain to pet shop employees which lizards can regenerate tails and which can't ...
If you've ever stopped another customer in a pet store to contradict the information an employee has just given them ...
If you've ever offered money for a reptile sight-unseen ...
If the word "rescue" bring to mind abused or neglected animals rather than police, fire, and other emergency services ...
If you want to move to a house with a basement/garage/outbuilding just so you have room to expand your collection ...
If your kids know the Latin terms for any reptile or can write a care sheet without assistance ...
If your kids have more experience with urates than litter boxes ...
If people call before coming over to ask you not to have your pets out when they arrive ...
If any member of your household has ever been given a birthday/anniversary gift from a reptile show ...
If watching "Python vs. Boa" with your kids leads to a discussion of cross-species breeding possibilities ...
If you have a special, smelly cardboard box that isn't supposed to be thrown away ...
If you own more than one indoor/outdoor digital thermometer ...
If you've ever dreamed of the perfect herp facility ...
If you've ever explained the difference between albinism and leucism to anyone ...
If you've ever baked sticks or stones in your oven ...
If you've ever slit an egg ...
If your lottery-winning dreams involve morphs, breeding, rescues, imports, or reptile housing ...

If you've ever muttered to yourself, "The more I know cats/dogs/people/birds, the more I like my snakes!"
