Selling with Fauna and Kingsnake
Question about selling: I should be getting my first hatchlings any day now. Then it will be on to the not so fun part... Selling. Since I'll only be selling about a dozen, I'm hoping to get the job done here with BP, but I know about Fauna and Kingsnake too. My question is, with so many daily postings on Fauna and Kingsnake, is it even worth it to list in their classified sections? I'd also appreciate any other advice about selling. Thanks!

i've never sold anything on fauna or kingsnake, but i will say i've bought 2 snakes i found on fauna and 2 i found on kingsnake, so to the people that posted those ads, yes, it was worth it. i plan on posting my babies i sell just about everywhere i can.

I agree with TheSnakeGeek. Even if there are a million ads on fauna and kingsnakes it never hurts to advertise there. You want to get the ad out everywhere you can to increase you chances of it getting sold asap. So if I were you I'd post on fauna and kingsnakes. I'm always checking kingsnakes for the snakes I want to purchase.

Thanks! I guess I will put ads there then. I want my little ones in their new homes ASAP. I think they adapt better when they're young.

Don't forget about the search function!! Yes, your ad may be lost in the mountains of new ads posted daily, but if someone is looking for the specific morph you produced, your ad will pop right up Good luck with rehoming your babies!!!

Agreed! And there is also the location tool. If someone wants a local or nearby pickup, they can search by state/province and you'll be there

You can post ads on fauna for free unlike kingsnake. I have more or less 10 clutches in a year and I sold stuff in fauna. I also sold stuff here https://www.facebook.com/groups/BallPythonsClassifieds/
You just have to be patient. Sometimes you won"t even get any inquiry for weeks.
Good luck!

When you post on those sites, be sure to include key words in your post. That will help people find your ads. I've bought 4 of my 8 ball pythons off fauna, and all 4 of those I found using the search function while trying to find specific morphs.
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

Everything I sell always does through Fauna and Kingsnake so yeah it is worth it.
Their business are classifieds and they have a HUGE amount of traffic, more traffic, more chances of your ad being seen, higher chance of selling your animals.

When I only have a couple postings on fauna I just delete and repost every evening. Also posting in the evening when a majority of the people are online is a good strategy.
