    Crested pictures. what is he?

    Oh no.. what have I done? I cant get enough of this little dude. I think I need another.. lol I don't know much about crestie genetics or their "morphs," I just thought this little guy was pretty. Can anyone tell me what he is?

    85-90% dorsal pinstripe with some lateral striping, pretty good looking white fringe on the legs too.

    Crested genetics are all polygenetic with "maybe" the exception of the pied crested, which only pangea has access to. So there really isn't "morphs" per say, although they are marketed as such.

    Everything is line breeding and selective breeding with new caledonian animals.

    So pretty! His coloring makes it look like there is a white slug on his tail. See the eye stalks at the base of his tail?

    he's a little flighty but not too bad. i haven't lost him yet. lol i just put it off as him/her bein a baby like most other baby reptiles. i'm sure he/she won't run as much as it gets older.

    I wouldn't count on him/her calming down. You may be able to work with them to calm them a bit though. We have cresteds that for the most part all have different personalities. Some will shoot out the cage at high speed for the ceiling, others will sit on your hand and not move, and one is the most aggressive animal in my collection which actually tries his hardest to bite me and then refuses to let go. Keep in mind, we have Savs and a retic.

    haha really? this little guy seems pretty chill. that sounds more cute than it does scary. lol does a good bite from a full grown one of these actually hurt?
