New Arrival

Many of you have followed Leo's story but for those of you who have not, here's a quick summary:

One of my favorite snakes, Leonardo DaEnchi was euthanized this past Thursday. He had multiple inoperable tumors, starting from his heart, up his neck, and in his skull.

I wanted to inform the breeder that I purchased Leo from (almost a year ago), not because I thought it was his fault/faulty genes etc, but because I know *I* would want to know if one of my babies passed. The breeder, was Matt Lerer, from GHI reptiles.

The reply email I got from Matt was one I was not expecting. He offered me a new snake. Not to replace Leo, but to help ease the pain of losing such a special little guy. He sent me a choice of three different babies, and I sent him my current collection and asked him to give his opinion/decide which of the three would be best. He sent out our new little snake and we received her today.

Introducing Nadia, an adorable little 2013 Ivory female. She isn't Leo, but she is amazing. I am so moved, and thankful for the extreme generosity of Matt Lerer. He's an amazing person, and cares more about his snakes & customers than cash. Obviously, an Ivory female is worth (cash value) more than my previous purchase of a single gene enchi male (As amazing as he was, and even if we all thought he had something extra). I am just, well, speechless. I don't know how I will ever repay his kindness. Anyways, enough rambling, here's Nadia

Shes so nice Tiff, glad to see such kindness in the hobby! Matt seems like a great guy. I agree, id wanna know if one of the babies i sold died too!

oh wow she glows. from everything i've heard too, matt's an awesome guy. hearing a story like that makes me want to buy a snake off him just because. lol congrats.

I agree. I told him that multiple times, but he insisted. He said that I was the most enthusiastic person he had ever sold a snake too, and wanted me to keep that passion and enthusiasm. He is such an amazing person. I still can't believe she is mine, that we actually have an Ivory girl, and that she was GIVEN to us. I just...I can't grasp it. It's like a dream, I never imagined someone would be so generous. I will DEFINITELY be purchasing many more snakes from him, he's going to be my first contact when looking for a new addition, that's for sure.

Sorry about Leo he was a beautiful snake from what i had seen. But I am very impressed with Matt, that is a classy move. Congrats on your new girl She looks great
