Also, you may want to try to get that retained shed off his tail after he settles in a bit. It never ceases to amaze me that people buy animals only to neglect him. I'm glad that they found a home where they will be well cared for.

Yeah, I got the retained shed off of his tail this afternoon. There was also not one but 2 layers of shed on his tail  I also got some off of his toes. He still has alot on his toes, which I will tackle tomorrow. He actually pooped and peed while I was taking the shed off of his tail I guess it was really relaxing 8) He was awesome! He let me work in his enclosure, touch him all over his body, and even hold his toes to get that shed off. The guy who owned him had actually been bitten by him yesterday when he went to get him ready for me  I guess Beefy got the last laugh considering the horrible conditions he was in!

My mom couldn't believe me. I bought baby food for him tonight so I can feed him pureed fruits and veggies with his meat. She said he will be eating healthier than her

Thanks for that tip Marla! I will definitely use that when I am building it.

I am glad to hear that beefy is "coming around" for you.
Look, sometimes bad things happen, and there is nothing you can do about it, so why worry?
