Found a piece of shed skin...

So my ball python (Storm) started to shed last night and was rubbing her nose on EVERYTHING. She managed to get a piece of skin off but then gave up and went back into her hide. Now I know about regulating the humidity during a shed, I have. Her tank is at about 70% humidity. Her skin is not flaking off her body yet so I assume she is still in the process. Does this sound right? Or is this a bad shed?

She may have worn herself out from just trying to get her head started. I've seen a couple of mine get their heads started then wait about a day before doing the rest. My observations lead me to think that shedding can be a bit tiresome so give her another day or two and you may just see a full shed.

What I would do: give her 2 more days, after that spray the enclosure once, and if she still doesn't shed after a week give her a light soak.

It sounds like it's coming off in pieces? Technically that is a bad shed, but it's not a big deal. I have bad sheds from time to time, especially in the winter when I have a space heater running in the snake room. Like the other person said, you can soak the snake to remove the stuck shed if it doesn't come off on it's own.
