When to remove press-n-seal?
When do you take it off and why? Is it coming off to increase oxygen circulation? Or to slowly decrease humidity before hatching? I think I'm asking if I need to worry about humidity at this point, or are they supposed to dry out a bit? I know they start to dimple up in the days before pipping, and I think I've associated that mentally with lower humidity conditions. Thanks!

I don't take it off at all. When the time is close I'll peel it back to get a better look before replacing it. It doesn't cause any problems to leave it on.

I never remove it!! This could possibly be because I don't use it.

The eggs dimple near hatching because the shell breaks down somewhat to allow the hatchlings an easier exit. I don't use Press 'N Seal since I switched to tubs with locking lids (not needed), but I would probably remove it in favor of putting the lid on (if it isn't) around day 50 to make sure the babies can't push their way out of the tub when you aren't looking.

I take the press n seal off after the eggs open. Once the babies are exposed to the air, I remove the press n seal and give the container a lid with air holes so that I don't have to worry about suffocation. I keep them in the incubator until they all emerge from the eggs, then I move them all to a single tub in the hatchling rack until they all shed out.

For me, once they pip I remove it, and replace is with the factory lid with a couple holes drilled in for air.

Same here.
Once they pip it comes off and I place the eggs on paper towels.

Thanks everyone, I'll take it off and swap lids when I see some pippers! I have a spare lid with air holes in it already prepared.
