Honestly, no I'm not sure she's a girl. The only reptile I've ever popped before my two current snakes was a baby alligator.. So if it takes substantially more pressure than that I could be doing it incorrectly... And I don't want to risk it till I'm around someone who can double check. I'll probably take her along to the reptile show in July just to see.
