    Light timers?

What light timers do you guys use? Trying to find one for my florescent lights for my snake cages but not sure which one will be best, all i want it to do is just 12 hours on and 12 hours off

    I use this one:

It's the Zilla Digital one. I have my day bulbs to come on at 6 am, and my night bulb to come on at 6pm. That way it's a 12 hour light cycle. Though if you only wanted a light for 12 hours, then just plug it into one of the plugs. Yellow is for your day bulbs and blue is for your night bulbs. When yellow are activated, blue aren't and vice verse. You don't have to worry about unplugging or anything. The white plugs have power 24/7 which are where I keep my UTH plugged in.

Because i planned on plugging 4 florescent lights into a surge protector and then plugging that into a timer so they all will have 12 hour light and 12 hour no light. My RHP's will have a herpstat

I wouldn't use that one then as it's only 2, unless you do 2 on and 2 off then switch. That will probably defeat your whole purpose though. A quick Google search and I came up with this:

    EDIT:
Looks to be identical to the Zilla one, only cheaper and everything is programmable instead of having 4 continuous and then 2 day and 2 night.

    Re: Light timers?

If you're just using them for 12hr on/off, you could grab a couple analog ones for $4-$6 at walmart or home depot. I've seen/use decent digital ones from home depot that are programmable for $12ish depending on capability and outlet count.
