Super worm bred

My son had his first superworm pupate today. Some people told us that you can't reproduce super worms.

Whoever told you that is dead wrong. In awhile you'll have a black beetle crawling around.

Oh yea that's an old post we have a bunch of them growing and reproducing.

I did it for a bit for my leopard gecko, but I couldn't handle the smell that the beetles make when they get scared, it's really icky. It definitely worked though, I used a bead sorter with air holes drilled in the lid to separate the larva, and it worked like a charm.

Another tip for zophobas - move your beetles to a new container every couple weeks. It's really useful having worms of similar size together when you go to harvest.
