    my new alligator snapper

    I just received my newest addition to the family. A baby alligator snapper.



    Will take more pics of him in the aquarium when I get a chance.

    Wow. That looks tiny now.
    It is hard to believe they get half a foot longer than the snapping turtles around here.
    I hope you'll share pic's or videos when you have it comfortably established. They are interesting to watch as they lure prey.

    I love those little guys, so cute. I wish they stayed small. He is so tiny and cute.

    From what I've read, their enclosures don't have to be huge since they're pretty sedentary but that's all I know

    Yeah they don't move a lot since they lure their prey. When it does get big I am going to build a small pond for it to go in. They grow relatively slow, so it will be a while before that happens lol.
