    lighting and temps

im back again everyone, i plan on using a sterlite tub for my ball. i know i need a thermostat to regulate the UTH and thermometers with a probe, but im concerned with the cool side. the temps in my room stay between 72 and 75 but if i were to use a light would it melt the plastic ? im not to worried about humidity because i live in my basement and its generally humid down here. again my main concern is the light and plastic melting. any advice would help, thank you.

Since you are using a tub, my suggestion would be to get a second UTH and a second thermostat and heat the cool side that way.

I used a temporary setup like this once.

You need to use a lamp stand or find a way to hang the heat lamp so that it does not come into contact with the plastic. Doing this can raise your temps well. Just make sure the lamp is several inches from the lid.
