Tornado Intercept Vehicle
I've been keeping track of this guy's exploits for a while now. And he finally hit a big one. For those that don't know, this guy spent hundreds of thousands on making this car that can take a hit from a tornado with the purpose of filming and taking data from inside. This vid is pretty intense.

When I had cable at my house, I used to watch the show on Discovery Channel. Intense. That was some crazy footage!

There's a website now where you can watch the webcams of the storm chasers during tornados ( http://www.chasertv.com/ ) It's pretty neat if you can find a webcam with an actual tornado on the ground.

Wow, that would be awesome. Though I'm curious if the tornado threw something sharp and that was hard enough, wouldn't it still go through something like that?

Tornado Intercept Vehicle
I complain about the price of gas and there are people spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to make a vehicle that can drive into a tornado... smh lol
Is the data he collects at least useful to scientists or something?

Yes, it is! It's taking data like wind speeds, pressure data (if you notice, they were talking about their ears popping), and other data like that.

Re: Tornado Intercept Vehicle
Reed Timmer's Dominator got its hood ripped off by the tornados here in OK tonight.

Yea those are insane, costly as hell to build, though the other one weighs double what the Dominator weighs. Is the F4 tornado the one that ripped his hood off?
