    Feedback Requests

So, I'm about to complete my very first sale! That said, is it rude to ask them to leave you feedback? I feel like it is, but I'm just a nice person who thinks feedback should be left anyway. Because I'm just starting out, I want to rely on that feedback to make other people feel more comfortable doing business with me in the future. So should I ask them or just leave them to make that their own decision?

    Re: Feedback Requests

First, congrats on the upcoming sale! I know you've been waiting for quite some time and it's good to know your patience is finally paying off.

Here's what I've seen in the past from sellers I've purchased from (not live animals, but I think it still applies):
When I receive a shipping notification, there's been a line that says, "If you are satisfied with your purchase, your positive feedback is much appreciated."

As a buyer, this could mean that I would leave actual feedback for the seller, or I'd just write them an e-mail to tell them I received the order and loved it. As a seller, I would be happy either way. Over time your amount of feedback will grow, but even the biggest sellers only have a small percentage of their sales having left feedback.

    Hope this helps!

    Eric

    Re: Feedback Requests

I say ask them for feedback that way you gain good rep over time and people know you're one of the good breeders.

I work installing hardwood and laminate floors so I ask for feedback after the job is done. so asking for feedback is always good if the customer is happy they past the word to family and friends as well as the store they got our business card from and we keep getting recommended, so far we have been doing good work and the store highly recommends us.

No problem asking for feedback. Its good as a buyer to be able to see reviews on the sellers.
