Re: Well I've put this off long enough... Pseudo Clown

Thanks, guys. I'm not an overly emotional person so I'm honestly not like all upset, but I do wish I could have prevented this. I'm really glad you guys appreciate the details, I felt like this might help someone one day.

Sorry for your loss, that was a very beautiful snake.

If you dont mind, can you disclose the name of the vet? This person sounded very knowledgeable and I like keeping a list of folks in different parts of the U.S. incase I decide to ever move and I lose Dr. Stahl here in VA.

Re: Well I've put this off long enough... Pseudo Clown

I'm really glad people appreciate the write-up, imo it makes a loss at least do a slight bit of good, at least it can be documented for medical science.

Yes, the doctors were both the vets at Palm Glen Animal Hospital. They're at 43rd ave and Northern in Glendale, AZ. Here's their website: http://www.palmglen.com

I've been seeing Dr. Mangone for the entire time we've been into snakes, I've been THOROUGHLY impressed. I saw Dr. Svoboda at the same clinic for the last couple of exams since Dr. Mangone wasn't available and I wanted in quickly. I previously wasn't aware that both were reptile knowledgeable but they both very much are. I was every bit as impressed with him and it was good to have another opinion. I'd happily take my animals to either doctor for anything they needed checked out. I'm REALLY glad I found that clinic, otherwise the only herp vet I've really been recommended is pretty far away from me.

Edit: also if anyone is interested I scanned the copies of the blood work results and can scan the necropsy report and upload both.

Me too! And ugh, I wanted to see him big SO BAD! Not that I could say I'd rather it be any other of my snakes, but still. Oh well, it happens.
