EDIT: You can't honestly tell me that the pastel in the OP looks pretty much the same as this one, taken from WOBP:

The yellow coloration is a trademark for pastel. When said morph doesn't even have that color(even just a little, which all adults should still have), its probably best just to pass.

I also disagree with this. Yes, pastels do change as they age. Most morphs do.
But not all pastels look the same as adults.

This is my adult pastel. She is browned out, but still very yellow. Can you say the pastel in the original post is the same? No way.

I used to call her really ugly...but this thread changed my mind......

It most absolutely is true. It's all about the picture. You can take a good photo with the right lighting and make just about any pastel look more yellow/brighter. Sorry but MOST pastels do look pretty much the same as adults. Just like Super pastels. They are so much brighter as babies than a normal pastel, yet after they get older they are almost just as "brown" looking. Only real difference is the blushing and head pattern. I have seen supers that big breeders have used that are just as brown as some uglier pastels. Age and size does make all the difference in how they look. The older and bigger they are the more browned they look.

    Pastel?

If the OP gets that snake she could take a million pics of it in any lighting. It still wont be as yellow as nikki's or the one i posted. Lighting matters to a degree, but not that much.

I see plenty of yellow in the pic the op posted. Not to mention that that pastel is obviously in shed.
The yellow doesnt look so yellow because of it being in shed and the crapy lighting.

Also just out of curiosity, how big and how old are these 2 stunning more yellow than your average pastels?

    Pastel?

Ok. If the OP gets her and posts post shed pics, it still wont be as yellow as the other ones. I'm willing to bet anything on it.

I have no idea. They look old enough to be adults though. Are you surprised because they aren't as brown as "all the other adult pastels"?!

The picture and lighting only matter so much. You can't polish a turd. Sure you can make it look better. But if it doesn't look good to start with, something as simple as lighting isn't going to make a very big difference.

You posted a pastel and said it was yours. How old is it and how many grams? After about 1500-2000 grams they darken quite a bit. One of our pastels was one of the brightest pastels I have ever seen. Now she looks like an adult pastel. You would never be able to look at her and imagine her being such a stunner. Sorry but it's just life. All ball pythons look completely different at 2000+grams than they did as 200gram babies.

I could be wrong but your pastel doesnt look to much bigger than about 1200g. Now I could be wrong. Just a guess buy the coloration.

    No i didn't.

Post some pics, please. I wanna see it. It'd be just one example, but still, it'd help prove your point.
