 thawing frozen prey
everyone says put the prey in a bag and leave it floating in warm water... why can you not just put the whole prey in the warm water its much faster, i have done this a few times and now worry that it might be hurting my boy django..

I thaw all of mine straight in warm water. Have been now for about 3 years and haven't had a problem. From what I have seen, a lot of the bigger breeders like BHB and NERD do as well.

I put mine straight into warm water as well. Pretty sure it keeps the snakes well hydrated too (even though they always have access to fresh water)

I thaw in the fridge I only have 12 animals so it isn't a big deal. I prefer not to have wet rodents.

I don't like they idea of rat-water dripping on my floor when I feed, or substrate sticking to wet fur. I place them on paper towels to thaw to room temp, hit with hair dryer, feed.

For the corns, I thaw their mice that way but when I've tried that with the balls, they refuse the wet rat. Thinking of trying it again this summer once breeding season is done to get them accustomed to it. It's much faster imo.

It wont hurt him. Plenty of people do it that way.
