    New gaboons.

Finally after almost 2 years of searching I have found a new pair of gaboons to add to the collection. I had been holding out for Bitis Gabonica. But after I saw these I just couldn't resist. I can't even begin to say how happy I am to finally have not 1 but a pair of spectacular Gab's back in the collection. And to top it all off this now means that I have now kept 4 of the 5 large Bitis. All that's left is bitis parviocula; maybe one day.
At any rate here they are....
My new pair of West African Gaboons (bitis rhinoceros)

    Male..

    Female...

I just hope I can sleep tonight knowing they are in the reptile room. I was up before 5 today because I knew they were coming lol.

Yup. You are correct! You can get permits and such to be able to keep them. Only certain places allow that tho.
