Maybe I'll move to St. Louis, lol. I'm paying anywhere from $2.20-$2.45/gal. ($2.45 is usually out in the middle of no where when I go herping.) I think average is $2.25 or so. It's INSANE.

I felt lucky to pay $1.849 the other day; mostly the regular unleaded is $1.929 to $1.999 (trying to avoid going over the $2 mark). My first year in college, I used to go out of my way to pay $0.739 for regular leaded gasoline.
3.1.1 BP (Snyder, Hanover, Bo Peep, Sir NAITF, Eve), 1.2.3 Rhacodactylus ciliatus (Sandiego, Carmen, Scooby, Camo, BABIES ), 1.0 Chow (Buddha), 0.2 cats (Jezebel, PCBH "Nanners"), 0.3 humans

around Chicago average about $2.20 a gallon - my '95 Mercury Cougar (only 30,000 miles!) costs about 30-40$ to fill....

1.98 here for regular. OPEC is beginning to terrorize us as much as bin laden is. Economic terrorism.
However, it is also important for us to realize that in Europe and Asia, paying around $2 a gallon is old news. In reality, we are just now catching up to the rest of the world. Maybe we'll start to take a look at our lifestyle, and be more conservative with our resources. I was happy to see the demand for SUV's dropping as gas prices rise- THERE IS NO REASON FOR A MOM TO DRIVE AROUND A 5.9L V8 (MADE FOR TOWING) TO DROP THEIR KIDS OFF AT SOCCER PRACTICE OR GO GET GROCERIES!
I drive a honda- 350 miles per tank of gasoline, which now costs me less than $20 to fill.
