I'll pass on that! I really admire people who can successfully keep and breed such large snakes. But I do not see myself being able to devote that much time and space to them.
I always roll my eyes when I go to the pet store and some bragging guy says "Oh, I have an anaconda, a couple retics, etc." Yeah, they're probably less than four feet long, and will most likely end up at Rusty's reptile sanctuary when their size becomes inconvenient or they eat the family dog.
I am not saying that people should not be allowed to keep them as pets; legislative laws take away too many of our freedoms already. I just hope that anyone who gets one, is prepared to keep it in good health until it dies a natural death.
