Underweight bp?
Uhh I feel kinda of weird posting this but I think my bps are underweight ._. My oldest one I got from petco in kinda bad condition about 2 years ago. I assume its a female, but yea she's about 2-3ft and then the worrisome part. I finall bough a scale and - 300g. I don't understand how she that's skinny? She's very active and friendly, and doesn't feel like super thin? Then again I'm not really sure what a "healthy" bp looks like in comparison. She readily eats small rats. My other bp i got from a breeder was from nov 11 and he clocks in at 175g and just under 2ft. Wtf is wrong with my scale or do I seriously need to plump up my pythons? The 2nd is a male an eats adult mice btw also active and friendly.

How often are you feeding?

Pictures would probably be helpful too.

Any way you could post some pics? It just seems a bit hard to believe for me. If they are skinny, they will have like an inverted V at the top of the body, as if the snake is triangle shaped. A healthy BP will have a slight peak at the top with nice rounded out sides.

They don't look that bad, a bit on the thin side to me, but regular feeding is a must and they should really be eating like once a week or once every two weeks in my opinion.

Yea.. The fact that they are kinda old for their weight worrys me though :/ I mean charts or w/e iv seen say they should be 300g by a year, and mine is probably over 3

Re: Underweight bp?
I don't know, by a year most of mine would be around the 500g mark so 300g then does sound on the smaller side but I've also had BPs that have been really poor feeders and with a regular diet, they'll bounce back and start growing pretty well. Like, my first BP was probably small for years since I had no idea what I was doing when I first got her and was feeding her about once a month but once I got her on a regular diet, she shot from 700g to 2000g in just a few years.

Re: Underweight bp?
I have an early 2012 male that's 600g and a may 2012 female that's pushing 350g. I think it just depends on the snake.
