Some of my small females show these wrinkles, I've had them for six days now. They made quite a long trip before arriving, but were soaked before leaving their previous homes, and I soaked some of them first thing when they arrived. The humidity in the tanks is 60-80% (so high because I suspect they're a tad dehydrated), but these wrinkles won't go away... Will they improve when they eat, or should I soak them again? I just wouldn't want to stress them anymore, and some of them I've seen bathing in their water bowls... Should I just wait and see if they get better when they eat?
here's a pic: (it's not that good, sorry)
It's those lateral wrinkles in her tail that bother me.[/img]

It could be. Check the eyes, typically the eyes start to show dehydration before anything. Look for dents.

It could be dehydration or just loose skin. If the skin wrinkles and stays that way then its dehydration if the skin is elastic and form back to shape then i think you are ok. I have a baby ball about that same size and he has the same wrinkles i noticed that he got them right after his shed. His skin is still a little loose but i wouldnt worry about it too much. If you are worried you could make a humid hide for him. If he wants to rehydrate he will go in there.
Thanks,
Damien

Eating may be key - when and what did they last eat?

I think so long as you're provinding a suitably humid environment (maybe a little more humid than usual for these questionable ones) and they each have a waterbowl they can soak in if they choose...it may be a matter of letting nature take its course. Their little bodies may need time to recover from the stress of their journies and whatever neglect they may have suffered along the way that you can't know about.
Top-notch husbandry, good food, and as little stress as possible should hopefully set them to rights, but it may take a few weeks.

I'm with Smulkin. I think they've outgrown their intake and just need regular feeding.

Thanks. I was thinking it was the feeding thing. They ate two weeks ago, I haven't offered them food yet because I just separated them two days ago and didn't want to cause any stress. I'm going to try to feed some of them today. The eyes are not dented, so maybe it's just loose skin after shedding and not-eating.
